Sensory processing and its effect on social functioning
Target Audience:
Formal and informal educators, education students, parents.
Training objectives:
The sensory processing system affects functioning on various levels: social, communicative, behavioral and educational. In this training we will learn to identify sensory processing challenges and offer a variety of adaptations and approaches that can be useful in dealing with these challenges.
Program Content:
- Understanding the connection between the sensory system and different levels of functioning amongst children.
- Understanding the source of challenging behaviors.
- Discussion and guidance for dealing with difficulties in sensory processing within the home and family.
- Providing tools for mediation in leisure activities and games in a diverse social group.

The training consists of 4 sessions, each session 135 minutes.
